Portuguese Shortbread
This delicious little biscuit is known as "Areias de Cascais" and has its origins in the Portuguese village of Cascais. Where they have been a tradition since at least the 19th century, made by the families of fishermen and hence the name "sands".
This shortbread has a hint of cinnamon, lemon and is finished off with a dusting of sugar and a hint of salt for balance.
They're the ultimate treat for afternoon or morning tea and will be sure to delight anyone who has an appreciation for a finely crafted classic.
